Carl Renezeder has been intricately involved with all aspects of residential development. Throughout his career, he has held progressive positions as Superintendent, Purchasing Agent, Project Manager, Vice President of Construction and Division President. In 1996, he started his own homebuilding company and has built and sold thousands of homes, from custom estates valued at more than $5 million, to communities serving the needs of first time buyers and young families.

His unique perspective gained from working in all aspects of development and home building, from land planning to financing and marketing, has been applied to assure the successful direction of the company through various market conditions. Projects he has built have proven to be not only extremely well received with the public, but highly admired within the building community as well.

Lisa Jack serves as Chief Financial Officer of Oakwood Communities, Inc. She has more than 20 years of experience in finance and accounting, primarily in the real estate industry. Prior to joining Oakwood Communities, Ms. Jack served as Chief Financial Officer of IMH Financial Corporation, a public reporting real estate investment and finance company engaged in multiple areas of real estate lending and investment, including acquisition, development, operation, lending, and foreclosure. Previously, Ms. Jack served as Chief Financial Officer for Arch Bay Capital, a mortgage hedge fund that managed loans and real estate valued in excess of $3.5 billion. She began her career at Arthur Andersen, LLP, an international public accounting firm, where she was a manager. Ms. Jack is a certified public accountant in California and Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Ms. Jack also serves on the board of One OC, a nonprofit organization that provides support services to other nonprofit organizations in Orange County. She is a member of its audit committee and business and finance committee.

Sean Sparks has been involved with the sales and marketing of new residential properties for over thirty years and has been a licensed California Real Estate broker since 1998. Sean has always had a passion for Real Estate as it’s been his family business for many decades. He is a former Vice President of a new home sales and marketing company and with Oakwood Communities he oversees their sales and leasing programs. His duties include managing and implementing the marketing program. He also serves as the company broker of record. Sean’s history includes the management of successful sell-outs of over a dozen new home communities developed by Oakwood Communities and he’s also an accredited residential property manager with the Institute of Real Estate Management. His job versatility also includes the leasing of Oakwood’s retail businesses.

Doug has over 36 years of construction experience.  Over the years, he has worked with builders such as Griffin Homes, Premier Homes, Beazer Homes, Kaufman & Broad, and Costain Homes.  In 1996, Doug brought his field expertise to the Oakwood team.  He currently supervises the onsite and offsite phases of each of our projects.    His workload begins with the processing of plans and ends long after the conclusion of the warranty service agreement.  He leads by example and has set precedence for the other field team members of establishing good relationships with local and state municipalities, homeowners, and subcontractors. 

Cassy joined Oakwood Communities in 2016 and has been integral in building the Wagon Wheel community. Known for her strong leadership and attention to detail, Cassy has successfully helped manage large-scale complex projects during forward planning, construction, completion, and then assisting the management teams and HOA boards.  With a comprehensive understanding of construction process, scheduling, safety protocols, and building regulations, Cassy works closely with the city officials, architects, engineers and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.  Her problem-solving skills, combined with her ability to manage multiple stakeholders, make her a trusted leader on the team.   She can pivot to help any part of the team get the job done and get it done right the first time.

David joined the Oakwood team in March 2024. With over 17 years of accounting and finance experience with Lennar, LNR, Integral Communities, and DR Horton, David brings both commercial and residential real estate experience to the team. His extensive knowledge in budget management, cash flow projections, cost variance analysis, project cost accounting and financial statement preparation allow the finance and accounting team to provide accurate and timely information to both internal and external stakeholders. David currently supervises both the construction and operational accounting and finance teams at Oakwood Communities.

Since joining the Oakwood team in 2017, Josh has been immersed in all aspects of the construction and maintenance divisions of the company. Josh brings over 20 years of expertise managing and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. With a strong background in all types of multifamily construction.  With an eye for detail, Josh successfully leads teams, collaborates with project managers and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and with high quality standards.  In conjunction with construction, he has extensive experience in coordination with property management and maintenance to ensure the buildings operate smoothly and successfully.  Josh takes great pride in fostering cooperative teams to build safe and productive high-quality projects.

Mandy Ramos joined the Oakwood team as a property manager in October of 2018, bringing with her over 15 years of property management experience. Mandy quickly stepped into the Property Operations Manager role after one year. In this role, she supports the Managers and VP of Sales and Marketing in all aspects of leasing, as well as overseeing her 504-unit portfolio and its day-to-day operations. She has also been involved with several community service groups over the years, including UNICEF, Food Share, Veterans First, Penny Lane and Grace Resource Center.

In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, attending sporting events, concerts, and her newfound love for travel.

Nick has been involved in the residential construction industry since 2014 where he started in accounting handling A/P, A/R, company financials, and processing payroll for Fleming Distinctive Homes in Newport Beach. He joined Oakwood in October 2017 and is now responsible for contracting all consultants, engineers, offsite trades, residential and retail subcontractors, as well as assisting with project management from time to time. He also develops budgets for new jobs and negotiates costs with all subcontractors over the course of new construction projects. Nick wears several different hats at Oakwood helping with Human Resources and payroll, corporate insurance renewals and claims, and corporate office management. He is a detail-oriented team player that is always adapting to support the needs of the company in any way possible.

Sean has 30 years of construction experience in single and multi-family, land development, general engineering, and public works projects. Before joining Oakwood Communities in 2019, he worked for national home builders managing land development projects in LA, Ventura, and Kern Counties. Sean has also spent over 10 years in the general engineering field managing day to day construction operations of public works, private, school district, METRO, and government projects all over California. Having worked for builders, land developers, and contractors, Sean has been able to gain experience from various perspectives allowing him an ability to keep company goals the priority while working well with contractors, consultants, and agencies.

As Director of Purchasing, Kim is responsible for contracting all consultants, land development and vertical construction trades. She has over 30 years of construction development in residential and retail construction with extensive experience in developing budgets and maintaining costs through efficient construction techniques and value engineering. Prior to joining Oakwood Communities, she has worked as both Director of Purchasing and Project Manager for various public and private home builders.

Corey is an experienced and accomplished real estate development executive, who has successfully spearheaded numerous high-profile, complex projects and initiatives. He has a strong background in development project management, master planning and handling complex entitlements. His day to day operations involve a multitude of responsibilities including entitlement acquisitions, permit coordination, budget administration, construction coordination, negotiations, and developing positive relationships with regulatory agencies and our business partners.

Mark is a construction professional offering the benefit of 30 years of experience in various aspects of the construction industry. He provides excellent guidance and field expertise on single family, multi-family, custom homes, apartments and commercial projects. His focus on quality installation and on time deliveries ensures a successful build-out of each project we design. His strong management and customer service skills sets an example for his team. His consistent success in surpassing budgetary expectations and understanding of building logistics keeps our construction on the right course for success.
